Great Yarmouth enterprise for all in words

"I did a group where we had merged 5 topics. I did it with lots of trepidation but there have been some really god ideas coming out of the group I was in"

"I didn’t know what to expect but it has been very good to share, listen to ideas and learn didn’t know what to expect but I have found the process really interesting. I have enjoyed today its been a real eye opener"

"I enjoyed the day, I particularly enjoyed being in the group with you, hearing you say ‘I didn’t know all of you existed’ Today has had more of a social emphasis, which feels essential to get the fundamentals right, to reach people from all sectors"

"It’s really good to create a space for people to talk and it’s been hugely important from a regional perspective to get out and hear what people are saying and doing"

"It’s been a brilliant event, I’m still smiling, it’s a good way of running the day. We could use this way of running things at practice level"

"It’s been a very good way for people to contribute"

"In one group I heard other people not from Yarmouth comment about how poor Yarmouth is, but if the community has faith in Yarmouth we will change it"

"I enjoyed the day but I’d like to see actions come out of it"

"After 7 years away from Yarmouth I’ve enjoyed being back here and feeling the energy of Yarmouth people. It’s been really good to see all these people here in the Priory"

"The thing I got out of today was that there are lots of people from different pockets who come up with problems and solutions and they are all linked. From today I have really understood how important childcare is"

"I’ve enjoyed today, I’m a bit of a control freak, but in my group there were no egos and I particularly enjoyed no one dominating. I really enjoyed that"

"It’s been wonderful for us to host this event, as a new development trust, because we are new I’ve done a bit of everything, I’ve been able to be in the groups and help in the kitchen!"

"I really enjoyed the energy of the first group I was in but I did flag a bit after that. It’s been a good experience and the stuff that happened over coffee was equally important"

"I enjoyed today, lots came out of it. Things said about volunteers, there are lots of wonderful volunteers and lots of good comes out of voluntary work"

"Sometimes we put our heads in an oven so its good to be out here and nobody has bitten my head off! There is great diversity and strengths in Great Yarmouth and lots of great practice, it’s really important you spread this good practice"

"About 4 years ago I sat in a meeting to look at the local neighbourhood strategy, we were asking people what they wanted, there was a fear that people would be unrealistic. This is all now coming from the community, the solutions coming up today have been greater than any other event I’ve been to"

"As a poet once said “Go running through the streets creating jobs” today you have disturbed the soil by not letting control spoil things. Tomorrow I’d like to get back to focusing on the economics"

"I’m from outside Yarmouth so I’ve seen lots of good things and interesting people"

"I love spaces like this because it brings out the best in us. Today what’s happened is we have been able to relax together. It’s been good, creative and inspiring. There is an enormous challenge to get politicians sitting in with us, we haven’t cracked that yet"

"As an outsider I have been very impressed with the diversity of your social networks, you have cracked bringing together support and finance. It’s good to see this being done better and quicker"

"It’s good to talk and better to listen and sometimes good to admit to coming from the borough council!"
